Email security is not just a luxury; it's a necessity. Domain-based Message
Authentication, Reporting & Conformance “DMARC” is the frontline defence
against email spoofing and phishing attacks, which can severely damage your
organisation's reputation and data integrity.
Understanding Email Spoofing
Email spoofing is a tactic used by cybercriminals to trick recipients into
believing an email is from a trusted source when itʼs not. Attackers forge the sender address to make it appear as if the email is from a legitimate company or individual.
How Email Spoofing Works
The attacker sends an email that looks like it comes from a trusted sender.
The recipient, believing the email is legitimate, may open it, download
attachments, or click on malicious links. This can lead to malware infections,
unauthorised data access, and other security breaches.
Understanding Phishing
Phishing is a type of cyber-attack where attackers try to deceive individuals into providing sensitive information, such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details. This is typically done through emails that appear to be from reputable sources.
